Conferences drain me like nothing else but boy are they fun, inspiring and utterly irreplaceable.

This is a four-panel meme featuring the character Gru from *Despicable Me*, using a common meme format where he presents a plan on a flipchart. But despite my scepticism on AI hype it's otherwise a very interesting and practical intro to vector search using embeddings/LLM. I do want to play with this tech a lot more! #BrightonRuby

And now it's a talk about AI, with the bold claim we're in stage 4 ("slope of enlightenment") of the AI hype cycle, I'm fairly confident we're in stage 2 (the inflated expectations stage!) #BrightonRuby
