Thought I'd do a mid week #threegoodthingstoday. 📆 amidst the build out of our compute cluster 💻. Without further ado:

1. Did some community organizing related to CTA 🚆 🚂 funding and immigration rights 📄 with #DSA #CDSA despite having no ⌚ time these last few weeks. It wasn't much but I feel like showing up, even in small ways, is still important.

2. I just love 💕 my train 🚂 time. Every morning 🌄 and afternoon ☀️ I get a great walk in 👟 and a space of time to nap, read and take in a great view 🏙️ with a variety of people in the city.

3. The compute cluster 💻 build is moving forward. I'm hesitant to say anything but I think I can see the next phase in sight 🤞🏼 🤞🏼 🤞🏼

Hey all 👋🏼 🤗 I've been absolutely swamped at work (an entire month on site, everyday!) but wanted to mention real quick that the #Chicago transit 🚆 🚂 system is facing a massive budget shortfall for 2026!

There is currently NO funding set aside in the '26 #illinois budget to address the crisis facing #Chicgoans who rely on #CTA #metra and #BNSF for work or ridership or both.

If you rely on these services or just like #walkablecities, #DSA #CDSA has prepared a short letter that you can submit to Gov. #pritzker in just a few clicks ! 🖱️

Anti-Trans Legislation: Across the U.S., 118 bills targeting transgender individuals were passed or are being considered in 2025, with our state proposing 10 of these.

Abortion Access: Despite Ohio’s constitutional protection for abortion rights, politicians may attempt to override voters. HB370 particularly threatens abortion access.

Sanctuary city resolutions: We're interested in protecting gender-affirming healthcare and resisting enforcement of anti-trans laws.

ELECTORAL: Democracy has the potential to loosen the grip of the current city council’s restriction of reforms. To do this, we’re looking into a city charter amendment.

NYC: Zohran’s campaign framed socialism as a practical solution to housing costs and police brutality. This elevated existing narrative of socialism, allegedly being impractical. By associating socialism with affordability, his campaign has re-invigorated the people's optimism for liberal-left alliances.
