Doorsday. Door from a prisoners cell from the 1600s, displayed at Uppsala museum. A prisoner (?) has cut an intricate pattern in to the wood. Below the pattern a text:
"1631 den 9 februari kom jag hit i fånga.
1631 den 28 september gick jag till min död."
Approximate translation: "1631 the 9th of February I arrived as prisoner.
1631 the 28th of September I went to my death."
Also the word "FINE". Latin for "end"?

An old wooden door. The upper half of the door is covered in a detailed pattern of cut lines. Below the pattern is text. Above the door a small part of the blade of an executioners sword can be seen. They are both behind the glass of a museum showcase.
