After completely losing track of what day it was yesterday afternoon, I'm pretty sure today is #Comedon day and the movie is Juno and I'm hosting. But I'm also now all jacked up on steroids they gave me because my knee exploded and the whole ordeal has been kind of all-consuming. It's why I forgot how calendars work.

I'm really looking forward to finally seeing Juno even if I did end up biting the bullet and giving Amazon some money for it. My Prime subscription isn't going to renew automatically anymore, so I guess taking advantage of these last couple months of it is alright.

I'm back to hosting #Comedon this week! @greenpepper22 has been keeping the movies rolling but has other duties to attend to tomorrow night.

Next up is Juno with Elliott Page and Michael Cera dealing with unplanned pregnancy in high school. It feels like something I hardly need to say on the fediverse, but when the film was made Page presented as female, but has since transitioned. In the role he became the sixth-youngest Oscar nominee but Best Actress instead went to Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of Édith Piaf. Quelle dommage!

I've been wanting to see it since it came out in 2007, but at the time my life was pretty much defined by the end result of our own kinda-sorta-not-exactly-planned-but-we'll-roll-with-it pregnancy and I didn't get out to movies very often.

i admit i started to check out during the multiple musical numbers that often had no bearing on the plot and contained no regular cast members but there were some fun gags. i think i preferred Duck Soup to A Day At The Races though
