Community Orchard update*: I was unable to attend the last meeting due to Scouting obligations but I suggested adding a couple of words to two of the Group Aims in the proposed draft constitution and they seem to have been well received.
Kinda ironic that I may have made more of a contribution in the one meeting I wasn’t at than all the others I attended combined. 😆

Tonight, another meeting, but very different.
This one was for a Local Community Orchard Project, which was proposed and decided to go forward with at the start of the year.
Myself and one of our Scout Leaders went to the first meeting both as representatives of our Scout Group and because we were both personally interested. Tonight was no different in that respect, though for both of us it was currently mostly the latter.

Back from the Community meeting. Myself and one of our Scout Leaders went along to find out about what was potentially being proposed and possibly suggest options if we saw any. We think the options are limited, and I think that if our Local School get involved then there’s little point in our Group doing so, as our Young People would likely will have already have participated. Also, since the school is so large, there wouldn’t be anything left to do.
