Before we all get too excited about #KamalaHarris claiming she's going to raise the #CorporateTaxRate to 28% (from 21%), let's not forget that it WAS 35% before #Trump took over.

So, if we're running on the message of 'reversing the damage' Trump did while in office, shouldn't we at the very least raise it back up to 35% ? Is that too scary for the corporate donors?

Oh also, Biden ran on the same promise in 2020. Never happened. 🤔

It was quite astonishing to hear Stephen Harper blame "elite liberalism" for "a policy war" against ordinary working Canadians while "sparing the big corporate sector from any increase in the corporate tax rate"
in his speech at the ManningCentre aka Strong&Free&Proud Network Conference in March.

Between 2000 & 2006, the Chrétien and Martin governments cut the corporate tax rate from 28% to 21%; by 2012 Harper had reduced it to 15%.
