Hello! It’s time for everyone favorite post, the #DailyGilbert. Gilbert has these two swirls on the backs of his hind legs that I just love. So I was finally able to get a picture that didn’t look weird. I present to you, Gilbert’s butt swirls (and because I can’t help myself, there is a bonus of his cute face).

Time for #DailyGilbert ! Gilberto was acting completely coconuts yesterday while we cleaned out and reorganized the pantry. We gave him a pig ear and set up a puzzle treat. The pig ear was gone in 2 seconds and he got frustrated with the puzzle and left it. This morning we are waiting on my blood sugar to come up so we can go on a walk. #dogs #dogsofmastodon #Sunday #pitbulls #fediverse

#DailyGilbert Gilberto enjoyed #doggydaycare yesterday and got pampered with a bath and nail trim. He came home and ate like he’d not had a meal in years and then curled up on the chair (first picture). He didn’t move until bedtime. #DailyGilbert Last night Gilbert was excited after playing monkey in the middle so he had his ball in his mouth for like 20 mins. He has been very energetic in the evenings for the past few days. Evenings are usually reserved for snuggles on the couch. Today he is going to daycare for the first time since Harper passed away in July. #DailyGilbert Today Gilberto was fantastic on our walk. He kept his leash loose 90% of the time and really only pulled when he saw a bird or squirrel. Here’s a throwback for today of Gilbert and my dog, Harper, who passed away last month on their first hike together.

#DailyGilbert Gilberto is a land seal and the 100% goodest boy. When he first came home he was food reactive and would start eating before the bowl even touched the floor. Now he sits and waits patiently for my wife or me to say “good boy” which is the signal that he can eat. He also sneezes when he is excited and I just think that’s the most adorable thing on the planet.

#DailyGilbert My birthday vacation has come to a close and we are headed home. I can’t figure out if Gilbert is as ready to go home as we are or if he will miss town life. He really enjoyed his morning walks around the square. He was such a good boy on vacation this week. My wife and I are very proud of his good boy status. #pitbulls #dogsofmastodon

#DailyGilbert Today is the last day of our vacation and the first day Gilbert has not been active from sun up to sun down. He has turned into a dog that walks calmly beside us the sidewalk but I know that’s not going to last. He’s had a great first vacation. #DailyGilbert We toured the Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave #kentucky and Gilberto got to tag along. There was a 100 foot suspension bridge over the river and he did not care for that part. But look at that face!!!! #pitbulls #dogsofmastodon
