"El Cóndor Pasa" (pronounced [el ˈkondoɾ pasa], #Spanish for "The #Condor Passes") is an #orchestral #musicalPiece from the #zarzuela #ElCóndorPasa by the #Peruvian composer #DanielAlomíaRobles, written in 1913 and based on traditional #AndeanMusic, specifically #folkMusic from Peru. Since then, it has been estimated that, around the world, more than 4,000 versions of the melody have been produced, along with 300 sets of lyrics. In 2004.

Really enjoyed it, but now am stuck w/ #PaulSimon version of #ElCondorPasa.
Creeps me out how Simon approped so much world music, like doing a big favor. For this one, he finally gave credit to composer #DanielAlomíaRobles, but that was after song was released. He's a creep. I wish people would stop using his non-original songs on things.
