Les employés de la Nasa ont reçu ce mémo au sujet des programmes #DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) annonçant la fermeture de toutes les actions dans ce domaine et appelant à ce qui ressemble quand même un peu à de la délation...

Dear agency employees,

We are taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump’s executive orders titled Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions.

These programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in shameful discrimination.

We are aware of efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language. If you are aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024, to obscure the connection between the contract and DEIA or similar ideologies, please report all facts and circumstances to DEIAtruth@opm.gov within 10 days.

There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information. However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.

Q2 (cont) I don't see any sort of question asked to give much context on this important variable, either directly or by proxy. We know - I hope by 2024 - that museums don't exist out of space and time, so collecting even general info (e.g., AAM's other national survey) could be really helpful in making sense of the findings - even feelings of being discouraged or encouraged, for example.

Q2. When discussing the status of DEAI work in museum boards/leadership (especially with resistance to DEAI, in the findings), what effect does the political environment around/in the museum leadership have? (Yes, I'm assuming it has an effect for what I hope are obvious reasons.)

Q1. I wish there would have been analysis (even a simple cross tab) between term limits and some of the demographics. Since so much of board recruitment seems to be through social networks, do term limits help with DEIA efforts? (I would think they would, but I don't know.)
