When I found the photo corner at #dedeco (it was hidden quite well!), I came across the awesome team from Kimono Dream who offered photos of you in a genuine Japanese Kimono! I immediately remembered the Japanese NGGYU remix from Caitlin Myers(Youtube) and it inspired me to shoot an album cover! 😄

The girls from Komono dreams were super friendly, gave advice how to wear the Kimono, helped me putting it on, and made these cool picture of me doing the classic tea ceremony. Isn't it absolutely gorgeous? I love this one so much!

I just found a tea bag in my pocket and that tea bag has a story... there was this guy at #DeDeCo who came to the wardrobe (where I worked) like 10x a day because he always changed when his group went outside or inside. And at one point he felt like gifting us something and he had tea in his bag and it was my favorite tea so yeah. That was cool. Also it was nice we could make it possible for him to not be cold or have to carry around a jacket all the time without having to charge every time.

I saw a Manokit Fursuit with Koi Color pattern at DeDeCo last Saturday. Which was really cool. Also nice to see them being still around.

The gunblade is entirely self-made. The coat belt, glove*, pauldron and arm protector are self-made, too, the rest of the outfit are used clothes that I modified. I have some details on the gunblade in my other posts already and will share details on the costume later.
* only one glove currently, the black wrist support is for medical reasons. I think it kinda works, too, though.

Die #DeDeCo war wieder ein wunderbares Wochenende! Und letztendlich ist alles gut gelaufen.
Meine persönlichen Highlights waren das #Otaku-Jeopardy und der Chor mit Animesongs am Samstag und das Manga-Quartett am Sonntag. Und natürlich stöbern, einkaufen und schwatzen bei Händlern, Künstlern und Bring&Buy. #DeDeCo25 #Anime #Manga #Convention
This year's DeDeCo was probably my best con experience so far. Not that the others were not good, I just haven't been to many and never all three days. Also I feel more confident in my cosplay by now.
DeDeCo has a nice medium size, but a wide range of activities and events. Watching the performance contest opened worlds for me. I dropped out of the Beat Saber contest first round though. :D Being a helper was also a good experience. Might even have made some new friends.

I am participating in a Beat Saber tournament tomorrow 😱 very excited. I have no idea what skill level is needed since they don't have a qualifier, but from looking at other players I should be okay? Anyways, if I drop out first round it will be fun to watch for sure.

Alright... past midnight already but I managed to get my stuff together in an acceptable shape. Wanted to fix the gloves but didn't have time and also I'm still wearing the wrist support on one side anyway, so I guess I'm ready for con weekend!
