Whenever you're buying overalls and other clothes specifically to wear with diapers underneath, round up in size by default! Depending on circumstances and the style of clothing, I might even recommend rounding up 2 sizes.
Even average diapers make the area around your waist rounder, which makes things much more snug! Think of the formulas πr² (carea of a circle) and πd (diameter of a circle) and you can get an idea of how this works out geometrically.
For a personal example, my overalls are a bit large on me in normal undies. While wearing even unboosted diapers, however, I have to COMPLETELY slack the shoulder straps and they're still more snug than I'd like.
