Finally starting on this book which I brought to NY with me since I didn't have time to look at it in Vancouver in January. The Indonesian translation of IFM Salim's memoir of being interned by the Dutch in Boven Digoel for 15 years.

my latest bio for #WikipediaAsianMonth ; I was focusing on internees at the Dutch camp at Boven Digoel but I realized the guy who founded and built the camp did not have an article. Laurens Theodorus "Theo" Becking (1887ā1945); he was quite a piece of work, a fascist leader in the NSB in the 1930s and interned by the Dutch in a camp in Surinam during WWII, where he died.
