Betwixt and between bouts of existential dread, I’m back at it in the #sewing room working on #ElfkinCollection orders. Related: it’s remarkable the similarity between a “full bust” and a “prominent shoulder blade” adjustment. (The latter being the same as the former, only applied to the back.)

All caught up on customer stuff, it’s time to start patterns for a new #ElfkinCollection look: #SkysOutThighsOut. Will be making for myself for a change. Rather than predictable jersey, I’m planning to use linen and cotton lawn.

And yes, Virginia, I 100% use pre-drawn croquis. #sewing #fashion

Yes, Virginia, yesterday’s #ElfkinCollection trunk show was indeed a success! Got lots of new eyes on my fashions, made some sales, looked fierce. What I’m most proud of were the folks who told me how it didn’t feel like a typical #fashion event but instead was very body inclusive and approachable.

There are still more than a couple of things to do before Saturday’s #ElfkinCollection #fashion show. But with Abby’s photo shoot now done, I’ve reached the point where the show could happen in an hour and all necessary items would be ready.

Yesterday I acquired swatches for all of the fabrics that’ll be on offer in the #ElfkinCollection this season. I’ve never pulled so much fabric in such a short amount of time. The spread of florals are the detail fabric options for the dress shirts. They make my eyes so happy! #fashion #sewing

I’ve got Darla’s trunk show look all pressed and ready for a golden hour shoot later this afternoon. At least as exciting, this camera strap. It was my Grandpa Chris’s. Found it while we were cleaning up my father’s house last month. #ElfkinCollection
