On the positive side, I have experienced my first charging an electric vehicle, although I wasn't expecting electric. The Kuga was a last minute substitution for the non-electric Qashqai that I was scheduled to hire.
And: Yes, strictly speaking it's a plug-in hybrid. Yes, the rental company person skimmed entirely over the electric side. Yes, the vehicle initially had zero (high-voltage) battery charge and was running in purely internal combustion mode.
I don't think that #EnterpriseRentACar has quite caught up with its own electrification. They apparently didn't record the initial battery charge level, only the hydrocarbon fuel level.
Leasing electric vehicles is new to Enterprise in this neck of the woods. Branches around here had no EVs at all back at the start of this year.
Alas, I don't have kit to measure how many W the high-capacity cable was carrying from the mains. That would have been interesting to check.
