Bought a pair of shoes for work whilst on leave. Somehow managed to break the soles (no, not souls) within 3 weeks. Took them back to the store to ask if this was normal wear and tear?
After assuring the shopkeeper I don't work on a mine site nor am I a labourer and having a very pleasant conversation about shoes and customer etiquette she exchanged them: for no additional cost and for this year's model of the same shoe.
