Sharing this request for donations from the #Jewish community of Fort Sill/Lawton to purchase a new #Torah ark (the decorative container that Torah scrolls are stored in, normally at the front of the worship space up on the bimah)
I'll mention that this community is doing incredible work in showing kindness and care to troops at Fort Sill, especially those going through Basic training and AIT. While some of the attendees are Jewish, many are not. These non-Jewish young people are attending the Jewish service partly due to the reputation that the Jewish community has for having good snacks, but also because they get lots of love and support at a time of their lives when they really need it.
Please consider giving if you are able to.
