🐈 Who Killed 'Fraidy Cat'?

The untold story of a canceled Disney feature.
My bad for relying on an unmaintained Firefox extension for my #RSS feeds. The latest FF update seem to have killed #Fraidycat :unwanted_cry:
@emmah A #Fraidycat user!!
I’m thinking something like #Fraidycat: https://fraidyc.at
I really need to start using #fraidycat more. https://fraidyc.at
@benbrown Love it! Kind of reminds me of #fraidycat.
@ikbensiep I think that sounds pretty doable. A bot that mirrored RSS to Mastodon would be very easy, making it work natively less so but still sounds possible.
But I wouldn't want to move any of my #fraidycat follows over to Mastodon, because then I'd miss them some or most of the time! They fill different niches for me. It'd be like not getting my emails to an inbox, but instead having them show up in Mastodon - cool maybe, but I'd miss important ones pretty often.
For #FeedReaderFriday this week, I’m recommending a feed reader—a different sort of feed reader: https://fraidyc.at/. Kicks Condor has designed an interface that you can sort by frequency/time as well as tag. It also encourages you to read content on the person’s site directly, so you get the web experience they chose rather than a more vanilla interface.
#rss #fraidycat https://fraidyc.at/ I have not seen anyone on Mastadon talking about Fraidycat - it's a feed subscriber. It does RSS of course, but it will also make an effort to turn anything that has a public feed to it into something it can subscribe to and pull from.
Attention, Big Tech, and curating rather than being curated.
Installed #fraidycat which seems to basically be an #RSS reader, but it's a different animal. Might have a good place in my arsenal.
Really wish that I could use #Fraidycat on my iPad.
