The Illusionist by Sylvan Chomet is a really sweet movie.

A talented, french magician gets no respect in Paris. And takes an offer to perform in Scotland. Where a young woman attaches herself to a man she thinks is genuine magic.

This & Triplets of Belleville are like Miyazaki movies, only goofy, french, and non-verbal. Little is said, but one must follow along to keep up. And each is a good and touching story. Sometime bittersweet.

Ankama, the people behind #Wakfu and Doufus, have a miniseries coming soon. It will be on youtube. It is about a girl that must protect a rare creature from forces that wish it harm. What I can tell, it will be French dubbed with Eng subs.

This looks really good. I have yet to look into the Wakfu stuff, but been interested.

I was pretty enthused for #CreatureCommandos. Animation On Max says it is written by James Gunn, and has chars that will apprear in the #Superman movie next year.

BUT, they also said it is animated by #FrenchAnimation house, Bobby Pills. Now, I'm all about it. They made Crisis Jung, and did #CaptainLazerhawk. So now I'm excited.

Ok, I'm not sure how I feel about this. A fantastic French animator is making a short to play before the next Joker #movie. The same animator that made #TheTripletsFromBellville.

Like, I love that #film. And want to see more from Chomet. But 😬, idk. Tho, really, I have not seen Joker. But doesnt have the best rep. Nnnn. Conflicted.

#MarsExpress is stellar. A great mystery. Fantastic #SciFi. Some of the best #Animation, w/ a mix of #2D & #3D. And this Eng dub is awesome too. I'm gushing, but this was a great experience. A thick story, so use the restroom first.

The comparisons to #GitS are unavoidable, I think invited, & IMO -earned-. But this is not the same story. And I think this is more fluid, & def more colorful.

I finished #CaptainLazerhawk #BloodDragon Remix. I was gunna pass this, but a friend recommend it. And I'm real glad he did. Bless you #BobbyPills and co. This had great drama, ridiculous action, cool chars. And a damn well constructed story. Extra points if you a #Ubisoft fan.

This was so fun. A great show that could be a good B movie, but also has compelling chars you care for. But was there a #PrinceOfPersia thing? Maybe I missed it?
