đŸ•šī¸đŸ“œ Fun text game alert! đŸ•šī¸đŸ“œ
We (the #FunHack village of #BornHack25) have now released the #Inform7 source code of our #BORNHACK ADVENTURE game: See codeberg.org/funhack/bornhacka for the source and adventure.funhack.dk/ for how to play it.
Thanks to everyone at BornHack this year who helped betatest it.
We hope this example will inspire others to write cool games in Inform 7. 😎

I did a fun hack over a few evenings/lunch times as entertainment this holiday period, something I've been meaning to do for a while.

Mapcarver is essentially a tool for taking a large image, breaking it up into squares (not hexes sorry) and automatically creating a series of pages on a mediawiki install one for each map cell. This means for exploratory roleplaying games you can easily use a wiki to track roughly what's where.

A chunk of NotofThisWorld' Ironsworn Map (https://notofthisworld.itch.io/ironlands-map) overlaid with red letter/number cell identifiers, starting with A3 in the top right of this screenshot and ending with F10 in the lower right.A chunk of NotofThisWorld' Ironsworn Map (https://notofthisworld.itch.io/ironlands-map) showing a single page for cell G5, this cell is in the middle of the block and in colour, the ones around it are greyscale. Underneth is a link back to the main map and a template of subheadings for Locations, Inhabitants, Events.
