I made some more progress in #Grandia this weekend. I've just reached Cafu.

(1) Justin is so dumb. The boat trip with him and Feena flipped between cute, funny, and bad every other line or so. This is probably a plus to me

(2) I started to like the game a lot more when I insisted on keeping a consistent compass direction at all times. Makes it much easier to navigate.

(3) Combat is mostly fun, albeit too easy. Feena has turned into a magic user for me and is carrying Justin right now.

(4) I'm not sure if it was just me, but Sue seemed to significantly trail off in usefulness as the game progressed. I thought that was a clever bit of story telling.

For some reason tonight I was like "hey, remember Grandia? What was i even doing?" I played it last year for the first #VideoGameClub and just fell off randomly around the 20 hr mark. I pulled it up and it took a bit of work to figure out what was happening. Anyway, I saved some town from rain that I don't know why it was a problem. All good though; consider them saved!

This game is basically bleeding the 90s all over the place. I don't know about some things, but the vibes are great.
