Here's a beta test of a Geomancy board where I overthought things and made it more complicated than it needed to be. (Imagine that.)

A background fabric of green & brown, gold & blue with a gold-ish brown leave & branch motif, to which has been sewn a screen-printed geomancy diagram in the shape of colored boxes & a black tree silhouette.

The screen print was done by a local artist, and I have a few more of this batch left. The set comes with instructions.

In this version, the throwing sticks are on one side, two to an insert (brown fabric with gold sun and moon detailing) while the other side has two brown pockets for chits. My original thought was that the person making the throws would then place the chits on the appropriate space of the colored grid. But later I decided that people doing geomancy readings might want a more permanent record.

So newer sets will have a set of half page miniatures of the tree graphic that they can use to record the throws, and write the outcome on the half page to keep for later (or to give to their client).

I wanted this to be portable and to not rely on tech in any way, which is why I thought of the chits. But in reality, I think it's more likely people will just make copies of the reading pages. If you do want chits, I can absolutely still do that.

I also have a beautiful array of fabrics, everything from sun and moon cosmic prints to Dia los Muertos to florals and geometrics. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll show you what I have. Of course, I can order any fabric you know of that you'd specifically like to use. Just let me know where to find it!

Feeling called to #geomancy again

Thanks to all my students for a great weekend learning house healing techniques. Here they were testing the efficacy of the 'magic blue tape' method (much favoured by North American dowsers) for ameliorating geopathic stress. The energy flow is right to left in the picture, and testing the GS levels on a percentage chart showed a dramatic reduction in the area between the tape and the building.

Lost item found using #geomancy
Wrote up a shield chart, chose 9th house (books, an e-reader).
Direction WofSW, the walls in the property run in this direction, checked wall next to a cupboard of make-up/cleansing products (bathroom/Laetitia) and there it was in a corner, under other items.

So the walls of the property run in this direction, leading me to assume the object was up against a wall. Using my compass and guided by dowsing rods (which showed me which room to go to), I found a corner of an upstairs room with items discarded). Looking through the "pile" I found the e-reader underneath in about 4 minutes from the start of the search. Owner has been looking for several days until now.

The figure of Laetitia indicates "bathroom" but being an electrical item, I could discount that and look for an area where personal "cleansing" takes place. In a bedroom there's a chest of drawers with skin products on the top (bathroom).
Looking for a "sump" would be a stagnant area nearby, a pile of discarded objects that were sitting on top of the lost item.
