I don't know if the rumour of #HellBlade3 is true or not, but seems plausible.

What I do hope is that the third game doesn't feel like someone decided to cut development and wrap it up mid game. #NinjaTheory should learn from their huge mistake with #HellBlade2 and have a clear scope...

...especially one that involves FUN, ffs.

#Hellblade2 has, unfortunately, fallen back into a lot of bad habits over my last couple sittings with it lol

Alright, stopping after an hour and half/2 chapters. #Hellblade2 .....actually seems like a good video game?

Only like a 3.5/5 or so, mind, but considering I gave the first one a 0.5 that's a remarkable amount of progress. I am actually enjoying the act of playing it so far!! Wow!!!

....and that is right away a *miles* more interesting and tangible demonstration of Senua's struggles than Literally Anything in Hellblade 1. #Hellblade2

Oh there's this bit early on where Senua is trying to rescue some shipwrecked slaves from their slavers, and she thinks she hears slaves calling out from an overturned boat on the shore, only to crawl in after them and realize too late that it was just the voices in her head... #Hellblade2

The combat hasn't changed much at a glance but they do at least seemed to have made the parry window actually kinda tight compared to the first game's laughably long one, so The Secret Technique (Parry, Heavy Attack X 3) is at least a bit less brainless now. #Hellblade2

(I will say, it's still extremely early but #Hellblade2 is.....actually off to a pretty solid start? Senua has an actual outward-facing goal now and that's immediately helping the writing a *ton* compared to the last game's policy of All Navel Gazing All The Time)

I'm glad The Voices In My Head are still here to helpfully remind me "Senua! It's a perspective puzzle, Senua! You have to look at the thing so that it looks like the other thing. Hurry Senua! Senua you have to focus-!" #Hellblade2

Well, I'm multiple cutscenes into #Hellblade2 and they haven't had Senua do that stupid fucking thing where she stares into the camera like she's looking at the player yet so maybe that's a positive sign....
