I got my Snapmaker U1 last week and coming from my Creality K1 (which I really like!) it's great. I'm not a professional 3d printer, so I might be excited about dumb stuff, just so you know.
Obvious upgrade are the 4 print heads, so you can print multi color prints without all the wasted filament.
But since I didn't have a dryer at first, I also witnessed the U1 managing broken and, with the one annoying spool, tangled filament. It recognized there was a problem and stopped so I could fix it. Both problems with the K1 ended with aborted prints because the problem wouldn't be recognized so the printer would "print" air, because it didn't have any filament. (And I would have to clean the extruder with tangled filament, because it tried with more and more force to get more filament)
Also a the build plate size went to from 240x240mm to 270x270mm.
I mainly printed printer upgrades so far (Ikea Samla enclosure, adapters for older wider spools) and a axolotl which due to the undried filament didn't come out that well. But today I found a #hueforge model that was looking fun and quickly (3.5h) to print and I'm happy with the result.
