When education is controlled, censored, or dismantled, oppression thrives. Across history, regimes have feared the power of knowledge—because an educated people cannot be controlled. From colonial rule to modern-day extremism, silencing education has always been a tool of oppression.
From apartheid South Africa to Latin American dictatorships, from Nazi Germany to the Khmer Rouge—governments have repeatedly dismantled education to control the people. Today, in the U.S., Project 2025 policies and executive orders aim to defund public education, restrict curricula, and impose ideological control.
🚨 Education is Liberation. If we don’t fight for the right to learn, history will repeat itself again.

It's incredibly nerve-racking to take a leap of faith when there's still so much to learn and so little guarantees. However, it is my pleasure to say that I’m moving to the jefe part of my career. #Entrepreneurship is not always talked about in Psychology programs, so a lot of it is learned on your own after getting a doctoral degree.
A mentor once told me, "Private practice is an act of liberation for BIPOC providers." I’m here for it.
