I'm doing my French homework and the textbook is talking about the mid 90s and how the UK, ruled by an iron fist(!) banned outdoor dance festivals and "music with a repetitive beat". Leading to the "French Touch" - the rise of French groups like Daft Punk and Stardust.
It's weird seeing an era I was around for discussed like ancient history especially as it doesn't really match how I remember it.

@fogelnet #IWasThere. it was a great fun show. The place went crazy with the opening number and then all the way through the show.
The guy wanted to sit with his friends & asked to swap tickets with me. I said sure, swapped tickets, walked away & noticed he had given me a seat way down front. I was psyched! I went to the seat & was blown away experiencing the 2nd set from so close. I was truly in range to get spit on by Bob, but was instead showered by the musical sparks flowing off the stage. I listened to that set last night & while it has some rough spots, there are some tasty jams. 2/2
This was the only show I saw on this 3-night benefit run, it was always a treat to see the boys in such an intimate venue (capacity ~2,000). I had a single ticket, not the best seat in the house, so spent the first set dancing with friends. At intermission, I went to my seat for the first time to take a breather & get a little tuned up. There was a guy in my seat socializing with the people around him. 1/2
