Ein trauriger Narr sitzt allein in einem dunklen Raum, während hinter ihm ein ausgelassenes Fest mit Musik und Gelächter weitergeht. Sein Blick ist abwesend, seine Haltung niedergeschlagen … alles an ihm zeugt von tiefer Trauer. Diese Szene malte Jan Matejko in einem der eindrucksvollsten Werke des 19. Jahrhunderts. In diesem Video enthüllen wir die wahre Geschichte von Stańczyk, dem berühmtesten Narren der polnischen Geschichte, und erforschen den Grund für seine Traurigkeit. Doch jenseits der Geschichte bietet dieses Gemälde eine wertvolle Lektion über den Schmerz, der sich hinter einem Lächeln verbergen kann.

It's a landscape illustration with a central figure in a dark setting. It's Cardinal Copia wearing his red robe, seated in a heavy carved wooden seat. His legs slightly stretched out in front of him, his elbows resting on the armrests, the fingers of his hands crossed, he seems to be immersed in his thoughts. A disillusioned expression on his face. To his right is a table covered with a heavy embroidered tablecloth, on which is a parchment with three signatures: Imperator, Emeritus and Copia. The parchment is covered with illegible writing, which can be assumed to be the terms of the agreement between these three people.
