James Sloyan did play some interesting characters whenever he guest stared. 👍

Not content to have a story merely about galactic Oppenheimer, the wrters decided to throw in a critique on conscientious objectors?
A bit of internet magazine cover/banner art for the Star Trek Voyager episode Jetrel (he seems nice), tonight on H&I's All Star Trek.

Oof... Neelix's nightmare 😱
@arazil
I thought it was a strong episode about how war can grind down societies, even years in the aftermath, traumatizing people into cowards and monsters.
#Neelix has the benefit of the moral high ground as a victim, but we don't know if the Talaxians would have deployed a similar weapon of mass destruction against the Haakonians.
I think the Delta quadrant is lucky #Jetrel died tho, cuz his redemption path was leading him into alarming territory.😬

#AllStarTrek Good grief, this has the potential to result in the most grotesque transporter accident. 😖
We're talking #TheFly level catastrophe.

@arazil Great point! Then a more gradual reveal and substantial arc.

I have a problem with this episode: It demonstrates what they should have done with Neelix. I think the character would have been more memorable (and less annoying) if we learned that he was a broken war veteran that pretends to be a happy rogue trader in order to avoid confronting his past traumas. We got some of that action during the later "Family Voyager" era but it would have been a great to see that type of story throughout the series.
#AllStarTrek This is a pretty good #Oppenheimer analogy.
Tonight's episode features the 2nd of 9 appearances of the Chez Sandrine set during seasons 1 though early season 3. The final appearance during season 5 was a recreation of the original set.
This is the angry Neelix episode.
James Sloyan (who plays Jetrel in this episode) was also in the TNG episode "The Defector".
Tonight on Voyager: It's Oppenheimer in Space... Except this episode predates the Oppenheimer movie by about 28 years.
Transitioning now from DS9 Evil Villain to VOY Evil Villain.

Tuvok blaming the ship's stabilizers for his missed pool shot.....I've gotta remember that excuse to cover up my sketchy pool playing in the future.
@HippieScubaSteve Acting goofy and naive but destroying opponents

I think Neelix is a pool shark.
