We were made aware of a disturbing incident of a student desecrating the Qur'an at a public school in the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.

We have been working closely with impacted communities to address serious ongoing issues at the school and board levels.

We met with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board alongside community members to ask for change.

We are deeply disgusted and outraged after hearing reports of a Qur’an being torn up at Courtice Secondary School.

We have been in contact with the school board & concerned parents and will share updates as they become available.
