Setting: Belo’s deli, back counter. Panel 1 AVERY: Knock knock… Who’s there? Lettuce in… the crisper drawer. BELLO: That may be the worst knock, knock joke ever. Panel 2 AVERY: Ha! Leafy and vengeful they will rise from the crisper drawer!!! BELLO: Avery, not again… you’re not starting a salad coup against the deli. Panel 3 AVERY: The crisper drawer changes a leaf. Makes it sharper. Makes it dangerous. BELLO: Let me guess, you love the smell of lettuce in the morning, because it smells like victory? Panel 4 AVERY: The cold greens await my command. The uprising will be swift and chlorophyll-fueled. BELLO: Is the potato salad part of the revolution or can I use for the lunch special?
