This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Kunbarrasaurus
In late 1989, an ankylosaurian skeleton was found near Richmond Queensland.
In 1990, a team led by Ralph Molnar recovered it
In 1996, Molnar referred it to Minmi, but not Minmi paravertebra.
It was then prepared by acid bath and CAT scanned. This new information revealed it was a different species to Mimni,
In 2015, Lucy G Leahey, et al, formally described and named Kunbarrasaurus ieversi. The name meaning "shield" in Mayi.
