Two days ago @bryanalexandee sent me an email asking if I knew anything about Solein the Finnish wonder food, just beginning to emerge from its prototype phase, which is apparently derived from electricity and air.

@urlyman @GeofCox I love what Rachel is doing with #PlanetCritical.. I also have some real concerns about #Monbiot - loved some bits of #Regenesis but found his ideas on #LabGrownFood and that #pesticides would still be needed all quite incongruous .. on one hand he revels in the biodiversity in the soil on his orchard then a few chapters later talks about how pesticides and fertilisers will still be needed which would destroy that life in soil.

Second lab-grown chicken product cleared for human consumption by U.S. regulator

California-based cultivated meat company GOOD Meat has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to bring its lab-grown chicken to market, according to agency documents released on Tuesday.
