On #ThisDayInHistory in 1033, a major #earthquake occurred in the #JordanValley of #Palestine, with its epicentre a bit south of #LakeKinneret. It is thought to have ruptured the entire Jordan Valley Fault, and may have killed about 70,000 people as whole villages were buried.
