I see similar behavior with kids and young people under 35.
They do not care that their privacy is constantly being violated with devices that have cameras on them, pointed at them the moment they take it. All my devices have a piece of electrical isolation tape on front facing cameras 24/7
The kids and the young ones also do not care, that a significant amount of money is paid for licenses that they never even asked for when they {their parents} buy Hardware.
In this context the parents are also very ignorant in that respect or are oblivious to those facts.
When it comes down to Closed Source Operating Systems it's almost Hell on Earth.
I would have expected reputable news sites to be full of articles talking about the fact that a Closed Source operating system is taking snapshots screen dumps of everything people do a number of times per minute & sending it away violating their privacy to a level that is unbelievable.
To my astonishment it's business as usual.
I've studied this phenomena. I call it dogmatic programming. Many of these end users are dogmatically programmed to ignore all these horrific facts
I have a feeling, in fact I know, that a number of us belong to Generations, where we actually know and value privacy, value the right to own, value the right to copy, for ourselves {not for profit}.
It's pointless to convince the dogmatically programmed of the fact that they are being violated.
I move on when I see these things. I do not even shrug my shoulders anymore
