This forum exchange encapsulates my grief with security vendors' URL categories.

A new, 30-day old, user rolls in with a category change for a known LOTT. And the staff were more than happy to acquiesce within 24-hours. The user barely participates again and disappears.

Well fuck, what about everyone who was previously expecting that highly abused platform to protect them? Maybe malware wasn't correct, but this process is problematic. And MalwareBytes is hardly alone; they just have a public paper trail.

I know it seems like "the vendor is supposed to be doing that" but I encourage you to additionally self-manage LOTS and LOTT lists & detections.
