Just got my syllabi for winter quarter of grad school and why are some professors so entitled??

I happened to have checked my syllabi today and saw for one of my classes that a. The zoom classes are required for this asynchronous class and b. The first zoom class is tomorrow, which is almost an entire week before the class officially starts according to the university.
