Fame at last: The back of my head made page 101 of this week's print edition of Spiegel! 😜

Jokes aside, I really enjoyed taking part in the #Replication Games at #MetaRep2024 and was part of a great (all-female) interdisciplinary team!

Section of the Spiegel article in German. The photo shows three female researchers (including myself) and one male researcher discussing something with open laptops. The caption explains that the photo shows one male economist. LOL. The title of the article (in German) is: "Wenn Studien lügen FORSCHUNG Erstaunlich viele wissenschaftliche Arbeiten enthalten Mängel, entdeckt werden sie selten. Ein neues Institut möchte das ändern, mit spielerischen Programmierwettbewerben."

#MetaRep2024 session on Causal Replication Studies (investigating causal factors for diff between original and replication study). They differentiate between *intended changes* (allowing randomization & causal conclusions) and *unintended changes* (requiring stat. adjustments - if you are aware of and measured the unintended change).

What I realized: A lack of transparency in original studies induces more unintended changes and impedes causal inference of replication studies.
