oh apparently there is a #MeteoriteMonday here too, so here's my little buddy, a piece of nickel-iron that fell on Russia about a hundred years ago!

A wiggle silvery metal blob that fell from space!

Some history for

In 1942, the legendary Harvey founded the American Meteorite Museum on the old Route 66 in Arizona.

It was the first such museum open to the public with a hands-on educational approach to meteorite science. It was open from 1942 to 1960. The remnants of the museum now stand as a desolate ruin.

Nininger's work was ground-breaking and he is considered the grandfather of modern and meteorite hunting.

It is a study stone edifice with an old Packard-style car parked out front. Today, this building is a crumbling ruin in the desert, all but forgotten.
