I love that he turns into a flying saucer. All the other Autobots take Earth modes, but he probably just wanted to keep his Cybertronian mode. Either that or he scanned a flying saucer prop for a movie and thought it was a normal Earth aircraft.

Deskbots today are my eBay purchases, vintage minibots from 1985 Cosmos, Powerglide and 1986's Wheelie! ​:autobot:​

Such glorious toystalgia (#) with the 85 pair. Great to have them back in ownership again. I remember having three Powerglides because we careless kidlets kept breaking him lol.

But Wheelie is brand new to me! I've never had this toy before so I am surprisingly delighted. He's more robust and a lot more fun in hand than his terrible toy adaptation suggests. And it IS terrible to look at; he looks like he's wearing bad cosplay of himself. But as a toy there's a kind of magic? Maybe I'm ill.

This purchase puts me one figure away from owning all of the G1 Minibots (barring weird variants), just Hubcap to go, so I've kicked off some light renovation work to prepare them for showing off. Watch this space...
