Other folks are just plain addicted and use the calendar as an appointment book and they are champing at the bit to get their hands on the 2026 edition.

Ran out of already stamped pink envelopes so I’m branching out into manilla. Now have enough envelopes to finish out the last 30 calendars I have left. Have 14 possible hand deliveries sealed and ready to go. Which means more than half of Miss Fidget’s 2026 calendars are in the mail and on their way.
calendars look ok, i am so relieved, now to sign, date, and number them, stuff them into envelopes, add a little note like 100 times
Approved the first 2026 calendar proof As-Is despite numerous pieces of lo-rez art. Not feeling super great about october’s art but too late to change it now - I hit the approve button! Next up so many envelopes and notes.
In the morning I shall send the 2026 Miss FidgetTM Calendar to a local printer. The proofreader found no errors. My art is all CMYK and hi res. My fonts are all legit. The jokes are all trite and corny despite ZERO astronauts or kitschy vintage food photos. New for 2026 — About, Contact info, and when the calendar can be re-used.
The calendar is always free. Drop a DM w your snail mail if you want one and don’t get one already.
Since I discovered it not a year a has gone by that’s hasn’t included at least one image from this amazing CC Zero collection. Now that the shutdown is over maybe it will go back online.

For the first time on the 2026 edition I am feeling proud versus panicked.
Art sources included my files, eBay, Tom Chalky, Grtatisography, Penn Live, Wikipedia, and the now offline Roadside America photo collection hosted by the Library of Congress.
Fine way to spend my Saturday and very nearly ready for the proof reader.
How lucky am I? My proofreader reached out to ask on the status of the calendar and to remind they still volunteer their services pro bono. I suspect they do it as a favor to my cat. 🐈 ❤️
Have put copious birthdays and special days on Jan thru June so far. Who knows I may finish up special days today. Birthdays et al are placed first for visual balance, second to delight me.
Miss FidgetTM Calendar status update- Sidelined by minor medical jawn I forced myself to work on the calendar today. Still need art for 2-3 months. Still need to add birthdays, commemorations, et al. Still need to do image credits and about this calendar. Photoshop’s upgrade is so big and buggy it’s a steeper learning curve than I expected. Sometimes it seems like I’m flummoxed by a simple task when in fact the app has crashed.
Awkward time of year when I realize I need an updated photo of me to include w the calendar so I become selfie taking fool for a short time.
Lessbehonest… today, October 1st, is the ACTUAL first day of Fall.
The 2025 Miss Fidget Calendar has September 18th incorrectly identified as the first day of fall/autumnal equinox. This is an error. The first day of fall is today the 22nd.

Unexpectedly made great headway on the 2026 calendar today. A few months are done. A few have placeholders and a few are empty. Kinda fell down a rabbit hole chasing hi-res IP of a popular Gen-X og brand and sweating a slap and paste boxy layout vs slick photoshop job.
No photos posted cuz this project lives in interactive analog space and many readers revel in revealing the surprise of ea. month’s art as it happens.

Where do all of those kooky holidays and observances come from? Chases Calendar of Events is the recognized authority on when it’s Burkina Faso Day and French Fry Day as well as outlining how such observances get officially recognized. I have an old copy I’ve been using while I make my calendar for years and 90%+ of it is still good.
Knee deep in 2025 calendars. They look great. I need to pat self on back but hands too busy. All signed, numbered dated. Now matching address labels w the perfect envelope and writing a note. Think w fistful of exceptions will dole out calendars in numeric order.
