Especially when the underlying MNO contracts with other carriers for roaming coverage? I.e., Cape will use UScellular's IoT network. UScellular contracts with AT&T for roaming coverage. (And now T-Mobile is trying to buy most of UScellular...)

I do like how one of Cape's FAQs is "Is this a honeypot for law enforcement?"

I remember when I first joined Verizon sometime around 2016, data service was incredibly fast.

Fast forward to 2024, I’m paying even more for like laughingly slow LTE and 5G. I’ve been to multiple cities across the United States, and I’m getting nowhere near the speeds that they advertise. How in the world do I have full bars LTE/5G and averaging around 5-10 mbps?
