@analgesicsleep I was eventually released 'with cause'. The cause? Working off the clock. Someone noticed the store alarm being turned off at 8 am and me clocking in at 9. The stupid HR guy: "How long have you been doing it? We owe you for that time." I told him. 5 times a week for 3 years. To their credit, my final paycheck included 700 hours at time and a half(OT). I was making like $15/hr so it was a BIG check. #muscoment

@MatthewTitus88 the museum opens at 10am but I’d get in around 8:30am to set up/prep and our program would wrap up around 4:30pm and then I’d help the teaching artist clean/prep for the next day. We’d average around 150-300 participants except for the days after xmas & NYE when museum was basically empty all day

@analgesicsleep Our normal hours were 10 a-Mid but we closed at 10 P on xmas eve and were only open from noon-8 in xmas day, so only an 8 hour shift. Wasn't ever super busy. #muscoment

@MatthewTitus88 I did similarly for the day after xmas, NYE day and the first day of the year for the 2 weeks we’d run a daily “holiday art making & storytime” program at the art museum once I became a senior docent. It would be a 9hr day (sans Thursdays when I’d also stay to help with the evening programs for adults) and I figured that folx have families/travel/etc… I was awarded “Volunteer of the Year” in 2018 & 2019 #MusComEnt
