This was a great way to end National Coaches' Week, but now I miss coaching even more.

I took advantage of two of #NCCP's free courses this past week, but it's not the same as developing kids' soccer skills on the field.

I'll need to look around and see which grassroots & rec-league clubs are in my area for the new year, as I'm pretty sure I've neither the funds nor experience to launch my own thing (yet).

Lots to consider...

Just finished #CanadaSoccer's "Making Headway in #Soccer" course on #NCCP's training site.

It's a very good training module on concussions. I've gone ahead and passed on the link to the other #LittleKickers coaches in Sudbury/North Bay. Hopefully, more coaches will do the training so we can keep the kids safe on the field and in the gym.

My #LittleKickers Stage 4 test results came back last night with a perfect score. I'm going to give their Level 1 #Coach certification a short (1 or 2) week break before digging into Stage 5. Not allowed to complete Stage 8 until September 2024, so I need to slow it down.

I just completed #NCCP's Understanding Rule of Two training module. Moving on to "Making Headway in #Soccer" next.

I know the C License is unnecessary overkill for Little Kickers, but I see it as a more long-term goal.

I'm currently awaiting results on my #LittleKickers Coach Level 1 Stage 4 tests, so I figured it was a good time to begin my NCCP Coaching certification process.

I'm doing it a little out of order so I can focus on parts that are immediately applicable (and free) first.

Today's course was the #NCCP Emergency Action Plan. Tomorrow, I hope to knock out both Rule of Two and Making Headway in #Soccer.

I am looking forward to moving into more in-depth courses as I go.
