I bought these cool little NXP - NTAG213 "business cards" from the clearance section at Walmart. They're branded as "popl PhoneCard". They have a hard coded hyperlink to popl.com with some tracking data to link it to an account that you have to access with a sketchy app. They're password locked so I can't rewrite them. I looked it up & found "74657329" in hex or "tes)" in ASCII to be the password, but neither of these work for these cards & the posts I found are all old. I don't have the equipment to sniff a password from the app, if it even does that which I doubt. Is there a way to crack NFC card passwords from an Android phone?

I’m embarrassed to say that my most enjoyable “achievement” of last week was finally embedding a picture in my vcard 😂 Really wanted to buy one of the Dangerous Things NFC/RFID rings (https://dangerousthings.com/product/dual-frequency-ring/) but I think they’ve been sold out of most common sizes forever now 😢 So I ordered some NFC stickers (NTAG213) instead (from shopnfc based on a post by @herrmann1001). What app/method do folks use to write to NFC tags? Ideally open source (if an app, iPhone) or from a trusted source; not looking to trade all sorts of personal/phone data just to write a few NFC tags. #nfc #rfid #rfidhacking #ntag213

I might need some help from someone using #chatGPT

I try to read #RFID-Tags classified as #NTAG213 with the #RC522-Reader. But it won't work.

Basically all I need is a #python-script, that gives back the ID from the tag.

This should not be too complicated for AI, right? (Or for someone who is experienced in that field).

A few caveats, in case you want to do something similar: stickers need to be "anti metal", in order to work on an aluminum enclosure. NTAG213 may be enough, if you just want the URL, and are cheaper.
