Apple, Green gras, fresh mint, light smoke, vanilla, cucumbery, Sweet barley finish. Got this one as a present. Too expensive for me today. Here‘s to you!🥃

After whoever knows how many years I finally finished this bottle... Not due to it being bad, but due to too many choices 😜

Enjoying the last drops with a cigar and some chocolate brings the best upfront.
Not too sweet, spicy, some herbs. A very pleasant dram overall.

Will I buy it again? Not for now, I still have the CS bottle of this open 😁

Overlookrd This Beauty for a while, what a sherrymonster. Typical Bunna-Seabreeze. Sweet and sour, raisin, nutty, dry Finish. Good swimmer.

Maclean‘s Nose,
Blended Scotch 46 %

Blend of 70% Single Malt, good amount of Sherry, Label und Charles Maclean lead to Ardnamurchan and it tastes a lot like it. Salty, Citrus, white Chocolate, Apricot and mild smoke. Super value for money - Cheers 🥃

46 %, ncf, nc. Moscatel finish.
On my list for a while. Field to bottle, much like Cotswolds.
Sweet white fruit. Peach, orange, milk chocolate.
I got my Hands on this one for a 42 € on offer. (Would not pay more for this youngster). Good Stuff though. Cheers 🥃

Wow, I did not expect this one to be so good. It really is.
All fully matured sherry goodness. Nutty, sweet spice, raisins and juicy fruit. Label says nothing about chill filtration (presumably is) but nonetheless outstanding. Very much like the good (old) Glendronach 12y but not that dry. Very very good stuff. (and much better than the overpriced 15y)

Outdoor mit nem Clynelish 14 😌🥃

Weinkiste als Regal neben dem Gartensofa mit einer leeren Flasche Nc‘Nean, die von Innen beleuchtet ist.

Blick von der Terrasse in den Garten. Bäume sind angestrahlt. Das Licht ist tatsächlich nicht so hell, macht die Kamera. Die komplette Beleuchtung ist LED und braucht weniger als 30 Watt.

This is a Glentauchers first fill ruby port. Plums, tobacco, leather, almond, dark chocolate. Decoding for the bottlecode on the back. Little bit of Sherlock-Work to do. More bottlecodes can be found online. Cheers 🥃

Glendronach, 8y, 46 %

Always had a soft spot for the Hielan. Then it went off my radar (so much other fine stuff to try). Recently got my hands on a bottle for friendly 32 €.
To my surprise: It‘s a Billy Walker bottling from 2017.
Did I mention that I am a big fan of his? ☺️
All the best of sherried Glendronach plus a seldom seen Bourbon cask. So good!

Nothing much to say but: so good. Just ordered batch 11.

Glenfarclas 2007, 11y, 46%
This one is outstanding. Very juicy wet cask. This one was a real bargain under 40€ in 2019/20 and a real alternative to my beloved Glendronach 12.
(today GF up to 100, GD chill filtered). 🤦‍♂️ Enjoy while you can. Cheers 🥃

This speysider paved the way on my whisky-journey. First or second one I tried back in the early 90ties. Plus: Never had a bad one from independent bottler boutique-y whisky. Great value way under 40 €. Highly recommended.

Blended Malt, 46 %. Batch 1
This is the „Rich“ expression which basically means it‘s sherry matured. Juicy, fruity, typical notes with a rather dry finish. Reminds me very much of Glendronach 12y (which is one of my all time favourites).
Founded in Leith in a house that is now called „The Vault“ - home of the SMWS. Cheers 🥃

Ardnamurchan AD/02.22,
Cask strength 58,7 %

Smokier than the Standard. NAS (but 6-7 years if you ask the net) Citrus, oily, barley Sugar. floral. Very spicy and sweet but all smooth when water added. Good swimmer!
One of the last Winter-Drams.
