Shame on Labour.
We need to #GetGreensElected
RT @GreenJennyJones: Things did not go well last night in the Lords on the #NationalSecurityBill, where we lost several votes. I called a vote on protecting journalists and Greens were joined by Lib Dems and a few others in the voting lobby, but @UKLabour abstained, so the Tories won. Draining.

It is telling that government will swiftly make changes to proposed legislation after the Telegraph kicks up a stink, but shows no movement when other media actors raise criticisms - as with e.g. the Online Safety Bill.

DRACONIAN NEW #ESPIONAGE LAWS

Are people in the #UK aware of the severe and sweeping new draconian laws being put forward in the name of "modernising" #espionageLaws?

Things like life-sentences from the current two-year jail sentence etc.

The #NationalSecurityBill has been so loosely drafted that it poses a threat to UK #media freedom.
It is in the House of Lords now, but the #Conservative Govt is refusing to accept amendments which would include protections for #journalists.
