This one hooked me (pun intended 😆) from episode one! I originally watched it weekly, starting in the lead-up to my wedding and continuing through my honeymoon. Just like with Yakuza Fiancé, I dropped off at episode 10—probably thanks to the Christmas season
Since I’m officially one anime behind on this challenge, I wanted something I knew I’d enjoy—something I could sit back and relax with. And I’m so glad I finally finished it today!

With a 12 episode run it was a well balanced slice of life #anime and I recommend it to people who enjoy emotional stories, and you’ll pick up something about fishing as well.

Episode 12 of "Negative-Positive Angler" was breathtakingly beautiful!
Delicate conversations, impressive overlapping with the past, emotional guitar solo, and serene atmosphere by vertical movements of camera. Superb!
Episode 12 was such a sweet way to wrap up Negative Positive Angler. With the after credits scene, I think it's unlikely that this will get a second season, as it seems like everything is wrapped up with no new plot threads left to explore. Gonna let this show ruminate in my thoughts for a bit, because I think it just needs that.

Episode eleven of "Negative Positive Angler" (ネガポジアングラー) is titled "I Have to Say ..." and concentrates on the maturity of the main character.
Tsunehiro was a lonesome and desperate university student, but now he has learned to work on the difficult tasks by himself, for the (small but valuable) goal in his life, and he can care for others.
"Fish are sensitive, so you will be ditched immediately unless you interact with them (him) earnestly" (魚は繊細だから、真剣にやりとりしないと、すぐ見切られるぞ): I hope he can express gratitude to his precious friend in the next (probably the final) episode.
This penultimate episode was very sweet, almost moving, a sort of hymn to those small passions that make us find our place in this difficult world.

Negative Positive Angler Episode 11 was a fun experience all around. With the last episode of the cour being next week, it'll be interesting to see how everything wraps up. To be honest, I suspect that next week's episode is going to be named "Positive Angler" to serve as a parallel to Episode 1's "Negative Angler". The only way to find out is just to wait.

ネガポジアングラー( #negativepositiveangler ) episode ten was a desperately serious story.
Hesitation, worry, impatience, and fear of the main character are described slowly.
The nearby boys appear several times in a lively atmosphere, which makes a contrast against the anguish of the two main characters, and reminds the audience of Takaaki's deceased brother.
The expressions of the details are also impressive.
For example, the faucet let a drop down to suggest the emotional movement of anxiety when it is shown first time; however, it no longer moves for the second time, reflecting the withered feelings.
And frequent close-up shots highlights nervousness and urgency.
The incidental guitar music, which is composed in manner of film scoring, support the drama in harmony with the screen images.
Episode 10 of Negative Positive Angler...jeez, that ending was some of the most intense stuff that I've seen outside of fishing for this show yet. Won't say what happened because spoilers, but it's definitely raising the flag of "we're approaching the end of a SOL show" for me. I can't wait to see how all of this ends up coming together during the next episodes.

Actually only one scene is shown in this episode, only a few hours in some day in Autumn.
In the process, the script depicts a lot of changes and transition of the relationship among the six co-workers plus three visitors.
The guests used to be the mafia collectors and they had been chasing the main character Tsunehiro.
But now in this episode they are no longer his enemies but ordinary neighbors who share the hot pot party. (The final words by Mikako Komatsu 小松未可子 is perfect!)
* I suppose the first episode may be in June or so, and almost two months has passed in the 5th episode since the 3rd; it is getting chilly in the 7th episode (characters changed their clothes); and it seems to be October(?) in the 9th...days are passing.
"Negative-Positive Angler" (ネガポジアングラー) episode nine features a warmhearted hotpot party, at the same time it depicts the changes of relationship, both within this episode and throughout the whole work.
The main character was a desperate and dissolute person, but now he can make long effort for acquiring a special knot of fishing lines.
And the heroine explains that the FG-knot combines two different lines to leverage the strength of both, which apparently and metaphorically suggests the importance of cooperation among diverse people, including a divorced father, a high school student, an ex-barhost, foreign residents, and a lonely university student.

Okay, I really enjoyed Episode 9 of Negative Positive Angler. The episode itself was fun, and it was interesting to see how dynamics have changed by the end of the episode. I have a good feeling about next week's episode.
