I was at #NodeConfEU in Ireland this week. It was a great experience. Lovely people, great castle and good food. Many interesting talks, because I didn't catch Node.JS development closely in recent years. I'll recommend some of them later when they are available on YouTube.
With Twitter having become such a shitshow, I wonder how to connect during meetups and conferences like #NodeConfEU. For those it was great, but the amount of assholes (completely unrelated to my tech bubble) and their verbal diarrhoea clogging up my stream makes me want to jump ship sooner rather than later...

Looked into proposing a talk at #nodeconfeu this year (same proposal that was accepted as last year, after I had to pull out for medical reasons), but if I'm honest, I really don't feel confident in being able to put together a talk in time.
Another great conference of nuance ruined by the oldest person in the room saying authoritatively that we “HAVE TO not do reparation”. And just “look forward” and “treat people equally”. Not representative at all of everyone else I talked to but man, way to kill a vibe #nodeconfeu
