Quote of the day, 26 March: St. Teresa of St. Augustine
Sister Constance is still a novice here; she has not been without trials from her family. At present, they want nothing to do with her—neither her letters nor any mention of her. The Lord permits this to test her fidelity.
She considers herself happy nonetheless that they at least leave her in peace here for now. She hopes that the good God will finally touch their hearts and that they will come to accept her perseverance without pain.

🌿 “The Lord permits this to test her fidelity.”
Even before the guillotine, Saint Constance of Compiègne endured the cross of contradiction—rejection by those she loved most. Still, she hoped in grace.
