Otogi Myth of Demons is composed by From Software, exclusively for the OG Xbox. It is a difficult, yet atmospheric action RPG which I happen to appreciate quite a bit.

The combat feels robust, graphics of it is quite amazing too. I appreciate the artistry that has been poured to this game.

Obscurity of it comes from, the console it has been released for. If it was an PS2 game more than likely it would not have been that obscure. Still I find some charm in discovering hidden gems.

The soundtrack of the game truly compliments the dark, poetic and oppressive atmosphere.

From Software has quite a vast library when it comes to obscure titles. Otogi is only one of them and I believe reviving such titles would benefit all of us greatly since it will enable us to see “non-Souls side” of this seasoned developer.

It had a sequel too, which refined the combat even further but let's talk about it later.

It is available for the current gen of the Xbox consoles as the part of backward compatibility. I would say give it a chance.
