#Ukrainian defence intelligence group walked 600 kilometres behind enemy lines to destroy a #Tu_22M3 at the #Soltsy airfield in #Novgorod region, #Russia, back in August 2023.

Colonel #Oleh_Babii was in command of the operation. While returning to #Ukrainian territory, the intelligence group was ambushed and engaged in combat with #Russians. On August 30, 2023, while covering the leaving of his fellow soldiers, #Oleh_Babii was mortally wounded and died.
